England - Dover to London

St Pauls Cathedral was hit directly by bombs in 1941 during the Battle of Britain but subsequently repaired. Its famous dome (top left) can be easily seen across the London skyline with the cross on top standing nearly 112 metres above ground level. The original ball and cross were erected in 1708. There is a golden statue of St Paul in the grounds (right).
